about
On Sunday mornings, children join their families for the first 10 minutes of the service before transitioning to their classrooms for Sunday School, led by LaQruishia Gill, Pastoral Resident and Director of Children and Family Ministries and our Sunday School Team.
The Green’s Farms Children’s Ministry provides a warm and friendly environment where children can play, build relationships with caring leaders, and learn about God. We celebrate children’s joy, wonder, and curiosity and aim to equip them with a strong foundation for a lifetime of faith.
During Sunday School, children learn about Jesus and key Bible stories while participating in engaging activities tailored to all learning styles, including art projects, science experiments, games and outdoor play.
“This year, the 2-5th grade classroom has been on a journey through the Bible. We have discovered what it means to be filled with God’s light, we have listened for God’s voice through our skits of Samuel in the Temple, and we have followed Jesus from His birth in the Nativity Pageant all the way to His death and resurrection at Easter!
My highlight of this year was definitely the Christmas pageant. The kids worked so hard behind the scenes and it was such a blast to watch it all come together and see the kids take the nativity story to heart. I hope each child walks out of the classroom knowing that Jesus loves them, no matter what.”
