middle school
tuesday nights
Middle Schoolers come together on Tuesdays during the school year for a high-energy night of fun (karaoke, outdoor games and movie nights!) all while having meaningful discussions about life and faith. Cell phones are collected in a “cell phone box” for fun and distraction free gatherings.
hungry hearts
On the second Sunday of the month, GFC’s middle school students participate in the “Hungry Hearts” program,” making 200 sandwiches for Open Door Shelter. This key element of our middle school program sparks meaningful conversations about what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community.
confirmation program
At GFC, we create spaces where students can connect, have fun, serve others, and grow in their faith. Confirmation is a dedicated time for students to explore their spirituality and ask the important questions about our Christian traditions and beliefs.
This process is designed for youth group participants 8th grade & above to:
Explore the vows that confirmands make if they choose to be confirmed.
Put faith in action through practices of compassion, service, and contemplation.
Discover what it means to belong to a community of faith.
Gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of the Christian story.
Learn about the core beliefs and practices of our tradition.
Confirmation includes weekly classes (November-May) a January overnight retreat, worship reflections, and a faith statement project.
Do you think your 8th grader would enjoy exploring their faith in this way? It’s not too late to sign up! You can read more here and contact Rev. Sophie Beal for more information and to register.
sunday mornings
On Sunday mornings during the school year, 6th-8th graders explore the stories and lessons of our faith with Youth Leaders Wes Beeler and Alison Lindsey-Noble through activities and discussions. On the second Sunday of the month, middle school students participate in the “Hungry Hearts” program, making 200 sandwiches for Open Door Shelter.
