GFC Trip to the Met: On Saturday, January 18th, we’re visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art to see a special exhibit featuring works from Siena, the final stop on GFC's upcoming Via Francigena pilgrimage. Whether you’re joining the pilgrimage or not, all are welcome to enjoy this inspiring trip. You can learn more here. Please register by January 12th.
New Art Exhibit & Demonstration: Currently GFC’s gallery is featuring artwork by Connecticut artist Marguerite Alpert. A lifelong gardener, Ms. Alpert makes art from plant material harvested from her home garden and arranges the deconstructed material into one-of-a-kind designs. Join us for an opening/demonstration program to take place on January 15th at 6:00pm. Learn more here.

Children’s Ministry: Sunday School resumes January 5th and runs through June 8th. GFC children meet on Sunday mornings during the service and are learning classic Bible stories that remind us of God’s love and power while participating in activities tailored to all learning styles.
MSYG & Icthus: GFC’s middle school youth group meets on Tuesday evenings from 6-7:30pm and GFC’s High School Youth Group, Icthus meets on Thursday evenings from 7-8:30pm. These groups provide opportunities for students to build meaningful relationships with friends and leaders, grow in faith and participate in service projects.
Hungry Hearts: On January 14th, GFC’s 6-8th grade students make 200+ sandwiches for Open Door Shelter during our Sunday service.
Midnight RunTrip to NYC: Coming up this winter, GFC youth will be partnering with Midnight Run, a volunteer organization in New York City dedicated to helping the homeless. The organization facilitates nighttime outreach missions where volunteers distribute essential items directly to people experiencing homelessness on the streets of Manhattan. More details to come!

Yale Bible Study with Dr. Allen Hilton: Join GFC’s Consulting Theologian, Dr. Allen Hilton for an exploration of Paul’s 1 Corinthians and its relevance for first-century church and for us in the 21st century. The study will meet on zoom from January 13th-March 3rd at 7:30pm. You can register here.
Winter Adult Bible Study with Rev. Sophie Beal: Starting January 12th at 9am before worship, our Sunday morning Adult Bible Study will kick off with Rev. Sophie Beal. Each quarter we explore a new topic together and love learning from scripture and the insights of our gathered group.

Homes with Hope: Green's Farms Church partners with Homes with Hope to provide meals that feed 8–10 people nightly. GFC supplies meals on the first Wednesday and third Friday of each month, with many slots open starting February 5th—sign up today!
Crafting Circle: Starting January 5th, Join our Crafting Circle weekly in the Loft after service for fellowship and fiber-craft! We will be working on hand stitching projects for Bridgeport Rescue Mission. The Crafting Circle will conclude for the year in April. Questions? Connect with Jenny Meagher.

Prayer is essential at Green’s Farms Church, a key way that we lift up and care for one another. Prayer groups meet weekly and the only requirement is an open heart and mind.

Our Men’s Group meets on the second Saturday of each month for a hearty breakfast at 8:00 a.m. at the church. Join us for our next meeting on January 11th. These gatherings are a time where men can connect and discuss the rewards and challenges of navigating faith in daily life. This group also works together on local service projects.
Our Women’s Group gathers on Thursdays from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the Flex Space during the school year. Our first meeting of the new year will be January 23rd. This welcoming intergenerational group comes together to read a book or study the Bible, share prayer requests and support each other through life’s ups and downs. Women often remark this group is the highlight of their week!
