TRAVEL WITH GFC

about

In today’s busy and demanding times, pilgrimage- the act of slowing down, concentrating on the journey, rather than rushing to the destination- is more important than ever…I hope that many will take up the opportunity to slow down and invite God into their journey.” - Bishop of Southwark, Christopher Chessun

This year GFC is embarking on our second pilgrimage, this time to the Via Francigena in Italy from March 22-29, 2025. Like the Camino in Spain, pilgrims have walked the ancient “road that comes from France" since the 10th century, from Canterbury in England, through France, Switzerland all the way to Rome. GFC plans to walk through Tuscany, beginning in Altopascio and ending with a two-night stay in Siena.

Our March 2025 Pilgrimage is full! Details for GFC’s 2026 Pilgrimage will be available in September 2025. Please reach out to Rev. Jeffrey Rider or Lynn Rider to learn more!

  • “Walking is a theme that runs throughout holy scripture. The Emmaus story is set in motion when they start walking. Walking kicks off their encounter with God."
