women’s group

about

Our Women’s Group gathers on Thursdays from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the Flex Space during the school year. This welcoming intergenerational group comes together to read a book or study the Bible, share prayer requests and pray together. Women often remark this group is the highlight of their week!

The women’s group also enjoys an annual Spring Retreat at the Incarnation Center, providing a special opportunity for deeper connection and reflection.

  • Women’s Group leader Caroline Barney selects books from a diverse mix of authors who write about living a life of faith, courage, and connection. The books often combine spiritual nourishment and practical guidance.

    Recent favorites include:

    1. Daring Greatly, Brene Brown, PhD

  • "We hope that every woman who comes on Thursdays discovers that life is so much better when we do it together. Our time spent deepening the connections in our lives to who we are, a community that fills us up and builds us up, and a faith journey that is real and authentic, is life-changing. We are so grateful for each other and the space to simply show up as we are!"

    - Caroline Barney, Women’s Group Leader

  • "I walked into the Women’s Group and it truly changed my life for the better. As a newcomer, I was welcomed with open arms and hearts. This group quickly became an integral part of my life where I've made great friends and strengthened old bonds. It is a special collection of women of all ages where we learn from each other, love and support one another. I can’t put into words the joy and gratitude I feel for GFC and our Women’s Group.”
